Anonymous Call Rejection

ANONYMOUS CALL REJECTION allows you to bar incoming calls from callers who withhold their number. They will need to reveal their number in order to get through.

To switch the service on, key *227#, cancel it with #227# or check it with *#227#.

BT Customer Services warn that this service can sometimes cause more problems that it may solve, so they do not always recommend it.

Many public services such as Doctors, Hospitals, Fire Brigades, Police Forces and other utilities, will be unable to contact customers who are using Anonymous Call Rejection due to the fact that they always withhold their numbers. Hence, all subscribers who request Anonymous Call Rejection should be aware of the limitations of the service.
